I first met Michael Cleary after seeing him in the Hunchback of Notre Dame at the Garden Theatre in Winter Garden, Florida. I was impressed with his rich baritone during the opening sequence as he portrayed Quasimodo’s father. Michael introduced himself a few days later at a coffee shop we were both in. In addition to his talent, this young actor is kind and appreciative (and not just cause I said nice things about him.) Michael played a lead role in a production of the Wedding Singer at the Athens Theatre in DeLand, FL. Due to a case of laryngitis, he was unable to sing his solo All About the Green as Glen Gulia, however Michael did perform the number in a speak/sing/rap which actually made me like the song more. No joke, I always skip that song on the soundtrack.
Michael will be a guest speaker Sunday, September 23 at 4 PM for the Out Tonight Theatre Meetup. More info: https://goo.gl/p7EzQ8
